A Living Sacrifice

This is the August 10, 2008 message on worship, from Romans 12:1-2. By His compassion, God prompts us to encourage others, give our bodies as living sacrifices, and to let Him renew our minds. One way of looking at all this is through the lens of worship as a personal response to the grace of God. Whom do you encourage, and who encourages you to worship? How does your body identify you as a creature who worships God? -- How about your actions and the places you go? Does your mind conform to this world, or is God transforming you by renewing your mind? What is the good, the acceptable, the perfect will of God? Thank God for His compassionate acts, His mercies, which makes worship possible!
